The grand nursery reveal

For months, I've been stressing and agonizing over this nursery.  I wanted it done before Puerto Rico (that didn't happen) then before Memorial Day (that didn't happen) but I did finally finish it TODAY!  Well, 99.9% of it.  Its still missing the baby.

So come on in...

Since she'll be in the crib from day 1, and since I'm sure I'll be a super paranoid mama, I foresee many nights sleeping on that amazing sheepskin throw.  Its the most amazingly plush awesome rug EVER.

A crib fit for a princess.

The changing table.

The rocker where I will be spending a LOT of time!

The changing pad, hand sanitizer, holy water and a fan.  All diapers and ointments/creams are in the top drawers...I wanted to keep this area as clutter free as possible.

The shelf above the changing table.  Picture of Guinevere's sisters, antique perfume bottles that were my grandmother's, placeholder books until I find some that I like better, candle, and gorgeous peacock from Bryn Alexandra.

Side table with lamp, Bible, a book where I write a line a day, and a tiny crucifix until I find one I like better for this room.

Giant mirror on the wall when you first enter the nursery.  Where I've been taking all my "My Style Monday" pictures :)

Small wall by the closet - my dad bought the rocker for me as a baby the same time he bought mom her rocker, and Tyler painted it white.  The picture frames hold pictures from Tyler and I's maternity photo shoot.

The amazing damask stencil on the walls.  Its very subtle and shimmery during the day, but at night - wow!  It really pops on the walls.  I am so in love with it.  We also did an antique push-button mother of pearl fixture instead of your traditional flip light switch.  I think it really adds something unique to the room!

The AMAZING crown molding that Tyler did!  I am still blown away by how professional it looks.

Tyler also replaced all the baseboards, and I think it makes a huge difference in the room.  His next project is replacing these all over the house :)

The closet.

Top shelf - books, sunglasses, and super cute little baby shoes.

Canvas bins from Target with socks, hats, swaddling blankets and toys.

Labels I made:

Blankets:

Top shelf - ribbons and flowers and bows, oh my!

And a peek inside at all the headbands:

Next post...break down of where everything came from :)

  10. This is a very adult looking nursery !!! Don't take that the wrong way by any means it's just a very clean white room and well....babies make messes! hehe :) As a big person, I want a room like this!! That fan I've seen at Restoration Hardware they are SOSOSO expensive!!!

  11. What a gorgeous room, you have great style and the time it took to complete it obviously paid off.

I kind of agree with CMae though, it is very white, and babies aren't. Do you invisage yourself changing it as she grows, or will this be the nursery for all your children? - I know WOAH, first one first right!? ;)

I'd love to decorate just 'for' my little one, but h2b is so against finding out the gender that I'll have to decorate in a unisex style. Blah!

Can't wait to see the next post on where you got all the bits and bobs from, especially the stuff in the closet!
