OOTD: Leather and Lace

The forecast was in the high 60s on Wednesday, and anything over 65 immediately calls for bare legs.  I hate jeans.  You know how, well, everyone, calls themselves a jeans and t-shirt person, for comfort?  I find absolutely nothing about jeans comfortable.  But I do lovvve dresses and skirts!  And sans tights, well, that is perfection.

I love the contrast of lace and leather.  Something about the white lace dress and the black leather jacket feels so fun.  I debated about wearing a pair of black booties to "up" the edge, but then I realized that while that is what a legit "fashun blawger" might do, I really wanted to wear my black glitter pumps, and so I did.

Unfortunately, thunderstorms the rest of the day cancelled the chance for fun pictures outside, so I grabbed the tripod and moved some of Guinevere's toys off one wall of the playroom.  On an exciting note, there is a girl in my Wednesday morning classes that was in my Photography class last semester, and starting next week we're going to meet before class to do OOTD pictures.  So I am pretty excited to have some variety around here soon!

Dress:  Target, $24.90.  Jacket:  Target, old.  (similar for $39.99).  Pumps: Target, still on clearance in stores but not online (similar for $39.99).

  2. I agree. Jeans are the worst thing ever. Give me a dress any day. I like that you mixed your white dress with leather, gives it some edge!

  3. I love Jeans, but I also love a good dress. I pretty much live in maxi dresses in the summer, and I've been wearing all my summer dresses with tights and boots most of the winter. It doesn't often get cold enough in SC that I can't get away with it.

  10. I still have yet to find a lace dress in styles I like in my size! Seems that by the time I get to them/find one, my size is gone! I definitely have a lace addiction as well. I may be lacking a dress, but I have probably 8 tops or so that have lace on them or are entirely lace. =D I do have those pumps, though, and I LOVE them!

    1. This one is a bit tricky w/o a belt - considering I got it from the Juniors section, I guess its only meant for 14yos with no hips without one haha. Our H&M had a ton of lace dresses in stock this week, check them out if you have one near you!! And those pumps are awesome, SO comfy!!
