So I scrapped that idea and went for my eight favorite beauty products, and that video was around 7 minutes.
So here you go - my four favorite hair tools/products. HA. I will make a real house tour one of these days though, but since my assignment is due Friday, I needed to make something I could realistically submit!
It is pretty hard to watch myself on film, I sound very ditzy. And I'm sorry for all the "um"s - I was actually pretty nervous! So lame, since I was at home, alone in my office. But I was. So there ya go. Me. Do I sound/seem like you expected?!
Highlights for those of you at work:
- Oscar Blandi Pronto Texture & Volume Spray: This stuff is amazing for creating...wait for it...texture and volume. I use it religiously on both straight and curly hair to give me some extra bounce.
- Orofluido Beauty Elixir: Crafted from ground-up unicorn horns, this stuff is straight magic. It took my hair that always looks dull, damaged, and ratty on the ends despite frequent trims and transforms it instantly to a smooth, sleek and healthy mane. I use it every time I wash my hair.
- DIY clampless curling iron: I took a Conair Infinity cheapie curling iron and a screwdriver and removed the clamp. Works even better than the $130 Sedu I have. And it cost $15.
- Hana Air Blow Dryer: This was sent to me for a review, and when it dried my hair in under 4 minutes? Sold forever. They call themselves the best professional hair dryer and they absolutely 100% are. I'm now saving up for one of their straighteners because if its anything like this blow dryer, it will be amazing.

Let's hear it - what are your favorite hair tools and products?

I dont think you sound ditzy at all. I might pick up some of that Elixir... my ends especially are so dead, despite frequent trims and dust ups. More vlogs please :)
ReplyDeleteI've heard so many great things about the Hana blow dryers I'm just trying to really decide if it's worth the investment!
ReplyDeleteI've been looking for a new great hair dryer, I'm going to have to check this one out! I have to record a speech this week for my communications class and I'm freaking out. I think I'm going to write it about blogging but I'm so nervous. I also don't like seeing/hearing myself on camera. Luckily only myself and my professor will see this, I don't think I'm brave enough to post it on my blog!
ReplyDeleteYou did great-No apologies needed!
ReplyDeleteI might need to get that root spray stuff, STAT!
Thanks for the tips!
Brooke
I may need to do that with my curling iron, I never thought of taking the clamp off myself! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteHa, you sound NOTHING like I imagined, but you did a great job with the video, and I don't think you sounded ditzy at all. I need that elixir!
ReplyDeleteTom got me the Hana for Christmas last year, and it's amazing! Of course, I went and chopped all of my hair off in the summer and haven't used it since, but I know it's waiting for me when I grow it out :) My hair is very thin and falls flat very easily; I love using Redken Powder Grip ( http://www.redken.com/products/styling/style-connection/powder-grip-03 ) for texture and volume! It's also mattifying, so if my hair is even a little greasy, it takes care of that, too.
ReplyDeleteyour vlog was amazing!! You did not look/ sound nervous at all!! Great products. I use my Chi falt iron and to tone down the flyaways I use Garnier anti-frizz serum and hairspray. I have the same Paris poster you have in yur background!! From Ikea right? haha That was funny to see :)
ReplyDeleteObviously I'm WAY behind in blog reading - and when I saw I missed a vlog, I had to check it out! And no, you don't sound anything like I expected - I have no idea what I expected, but girrrl you're adorable! Now it sounds like I expected you to be not adorable, which is not what I meant. ;-) I wish I could pull off being this smooth in vlogs. I always feel like a wierd ass in vlogs.
